Boris Johnson vs John Humphrys: who won the battle over Brexit? John Humphrys, the veteran BBC interviewer challenged Mr Johnson claiming he was factually wrong on some points and misleading on others. The dispute between the two men hangs on the difference between “access to the single market” and “free trade”. The verdict was a win for Boris Johnson.

Boris hits out at EU bans  “We shouldn’t have to put up with this nonsense about banning kettles and toasters.” EU officials have been ordered to be vigilant for any plans that come across their desks which could give Leave campaigners ammunition in Britain’s referendum debate.

Osborne FINALLY admits Government are making preparations for a Brexit Treasury officials are  doing “quite a serious amount of contingency planning” to deal with potential financial consequences of a “leave” vote in the EU referendum on June 23. Government ministers and officials had repeatedly insisted no planning was being done about for a vote to leave. (Cameron’s claim that Brexit could lead to war caused a sudden crisis of confidence, hence a sudden official turnaround?
